ABOUT THE ERA When World War I began in 1914, manufacturing of jewelry came to a stop. Hard times brought on by the war marked the end of fashions and trends popular in the Art Nouveau and Edwardian eras. Women started taking over men’s roles in the workplace, ushering in a new era of independence for women. With the end of the war, the “Roaring 20’s” ushered in a new attitude and desire to live life to the fullest. The Art Deco era was highly influenced by global politics and social issues, spanning nearly two decades from 1918-1935. If you love movies that were set during this era like The Great Gatsby, Out of Africa, or the Grand Budapest Hotel, a vintage Art Deco engagement ring might be right for you! This era is all about living life as if every day was a fantastic party, and the Art Deco engagement rings below certainly reflect this charismatic attitude. Enjoy, vintage lovers! If a piece of Art Deco opulence is right for you, we hope you find the perfect vintage engagement ring here! It’s no secret that we love Art Deco engagement rings. Sparrow Mountain is a delightful diamond engagement ring that was once part of a platinum and diamond Art Deco brooch dating back to 1925. Trumpet & Horn converted the brooch to five different rings, each in different sizes and colored metals. Sparrow Mountain is just one of the beautiful rings we created from the repurposed brooch! The ring centers an Old European Cut diamond gauged at approximately 0.50ct and graded G-H color and SI2 clarity. The stone is nestled within a vintage platinum bezel enhanced by authentic Art Deco milgrained edges. Trumpet & Horn completed its transformation into a ring by adding an 14k rose gold shank, delicately finished with six Single Cut diamonds flanking either side of the center stone (approx. 0.03ct in weight). The ring is currently a size 6 and can be sized to fit. Please keep in mind the center diamond was not taken out of the setting, so the diamond carat, color and clarity has been estimated.
