Like her own ring, the Kohl’s ring is a simple rose gold band with a round-cut solitaire. But while LC’s ring featured a diamond and probably cost tens of thousands of dollars, the Kohl’s ring uses round-cut morganite and costs a mere $2000.

The best part has to be the price tag. While nobody knows for sure how much Conrad’s ring cost — aside from her husband, William Tell, naturally — the Kohl’s version rings in at $2,000. That’s not chump change, but it is a lot friendlier on your savings account than a real diamond.

The solitaire is the crown jewel (pun intended) of Conrad’s first foray into fine jewelry. If you’re not into the idea of wearing someone else’s engagement ring, there are plenty of other styles. Conrad and Kohl’s have diamond bands, stackable rings, earrings, and necklaces, too.Advertisement

Conrad’s Kohl’s collaboration has expanded into fine jewelry, as we shared earlier this week. (along with some interesting revelations about the star’s prom and wedding dresses). With that addition, shoppers are getting the chance to snag a replica of LC’s solitaire engagement ring. In even better news, it’s not as pricey as the real thing.Advertisement

Lauren Conrad’s life seems pretty rosy. Yes, she does use a pink filter on all her Instagram posts, but besides that, her beachy-cool hair, perfect cat-eye liner, and practically perfect life leave many of us pining and pinning. Fans of the Laguna Beach alum probably have the image of Conrad’s engagement ring committed to memory, but now, the most die-hard obsesses can get one of their very own thanks to LC’s line with Kohl’s.

The version that she designed for Kohl’s isn’t 100% faithful to the original, but it’s got a lot of the same features. Instead of the 2-karat diamond, the LC Lauren Conrad Fine Jewelry option is a 1-and-7/8-karat morganite stone. (If you’re not up to snuff on your gemology, morganite is a beryl — think of it as a cousin to emeralds and aquamarine. Generally speaking, they’re available in Conrad-approved hues like blush, pale pink, and peach.) The round-cut stone sits on a 10K rose-gold band. The setting has six prongs instead of four, but it’ll take an eagle-eyed LC devotee to spot that minor detail.

“That’s something I love about designing wedding-related things, because you get to be a part of that memory in a small way, which is cool,” Conrad told us. “I know how much I love my engagement ring, and it’s something you wear every day, hopefully for the rest of your life.”
