Florida Marriage Licenses

Both applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply without parental consent. Applicants must apply in person, on the same day, and bring a driver's license, passport, or Florida Identification Card. If either applicant was previously married, the date the prior marriage ended by divorce, annulment, or death is required.
The fee is $93.50 in Sarasota County and $96.00 in Manatee County. Accepted forms of payment are cash, credit card, or check or money order made payable to the "Clerk of Court".
The License must be obtained within 60 days of the wedding date. For Florida residents, there is a three-day waiting period. However, if you take a pre-marital course, the waiting period is waived, and the fee is reduced to $32.50. A valid certificate of completion from a pre-marital course conducted by a registered course provider must be presented to the Clerk of Court’s office and to us. Non-Florida residents do not have a three-day waiting period.
A blood test is not required.

License must be used within sixty days of issuance.
Marriage license may be used in any county in the State of Florida.
Executed license must be returned within ten days to the county in which is was issued.
